Kids camps on the Costa Brava in August
Sailing in Roses, sea kayaking in Palamós, football in Lloret: what is on for children on the Costa Brava in August, and how to book for just a few days.
August is the busiest month on the Costa Brava, and also the month when many school casals close for the week of 15 August. Holiday-oriented operators — sailing schools, kayak centres, kids clubs — keep running all month and often sell single days.
Best options by age
- 4–7 years: English-speaking morning kids clubs and beach games
- 7–12 years: sailing and paddle board mornings, multi-sport day camps
- 12–17 years: sea kayak and snorkel trips, windsurf, adventure camps in the Pyrenees
Book single days
If you are only here for ten days, filter by “Single days possible”. Many sailing and kayak schools have a minimum of one to three days, so you can mix activities without paying for full weeks.
Tips
- Book two to four weeks ahead for August — popular weeks fill up
- Ask about the meeting point: many water sports start directly on the beach
- Bring a copy of your EHIC or travel insurance card
