Swimming camps and pool days are the part of the Spanish summer that children like most — and the part with the most lost goggles. Pools in Spain usually require a swim cap and flip-flops on the deck, and many sports centres do not let children in the water without them. Here is what to put in the bag.

Water sports camps: sailing, surf, kayak, SUP
Wetsuits, boards, life jackets and helmets are almost always provided by the school. Children usually need only a swimsuit, a UV shirt, water shoes for rocky beaches and a towel. See water sports camps in Spain.

Tips
- Write the name on goggles and caps with a permanent marker or a label — they all look the same.
- Pack the swimsuit on top so the child can find it without emptying the bag.
- Rinse and dry the swimwear every evening; chlorine damages it fast.
